Does this policy cover Bodily Injury or Property Damage Liability for which the student is legally liable?
No. Dependent students are covered under a parent’s homeowners policy for liability. And, unlike coverage for damage to your property, we believe duplicate liability coverage could present real problems because of homeowner policy provisions relating to other insurance and supplementary payments. So, CSI will not include liability on the Student Personal Property Protector Plus. Independent students should look into a homeowners/renters policy.
