Does this mean that Otaku Anime will stop showing fansubbed Anime?
A. Absolutely not. Unlicensed fansubbed titles would still be a priority to show but there are still some good licensed titles out there that people might not be aware of and that we would like to promote. For licensed TV series, Otaku Anime will normally show the first few episodes of the title so that people who haven’t seen the series yet can get an idea of what the Anime is about and if they like it they can go rent the rest of the series or even purchase it. Licensed movies and short OAV series are generally shown at our special theme screenings and Animathon, but fansubs will still make up a large part of the schedule.
