Does this mean British Council Indonesia has stopped working in English language teaching?

No. We are still active in the field of English language teaching. We are working in Primary English language teaching, doing research and trainer-training for Primary English, developing Primary ELT specialists in Samarinda, Surabaya, Jakarta, Makassar and Yogyakarta. We are also developing support materials for Primary teachers such as training materials, workshops, DVDs of Primary lessons and teachers’ resource packs. We are also working with NU in East Java, building training capacity in East Java Pesantren and supporting teachers with materials. Our online materials also offer a wealth of resources for teachers and learners of English. What about other British Council activities? We remain committed to realising the opportunities for Indonesian self-development and will continue to do so through our programmes in Education, Creative Industries, and Social Development, as well as English.
