The rumor that the aluminum in deodorant causes breast cancer cannot be proven, he said. “I don’t know why people think that,” he said. “There is no strong evidence at all that (deodorant) is a risk factor (for breast cancer).” Pollock said studies have been conducted in years past trying to prove a link but to no avail. “Anytime a chemical is involved, people get up in arms about it, no pun intended,” he said. “There’s no evidence that a woman who has used deodorant for ten years is at less risk than a
