Does Thermafiber insulation have an hourly rating?
Thermafiber Insulation does not have an hourly fire rating because it is not a stand-alone product. Thermafiber materials are dependent upon mechanical fasteners and other construction components that must also stay in place for the time period of fire exposure. If these components fail, then the Thermafiber insulation will fall out of place, jeopardizing the fire performance of the assembly.
