No client PC software is required, the XipStick is a self-contained wireless optimizer, pre-configured to use DHCP for acquiring an IP address from the MSS network and configured to deliver IP addresses to the client PC using an on-board Network Address Translation (NAT) gateway and DHCP server. This ensures hands-free user installation, an important challenge for MSS users. Simply plug the XipStick between the wireless terminal or modem and the user PC and TCP data will be optimized. For small LAN’s, the XipStick can be installed between the wireless modem or terminal and a small Ethernet hub or switch, connecting a few PC’s together.
