Yes, this is a very standard practice for our ALDS system. With over 20 different patented/proprietary data processing techniques (especially the acoustic finger-print matching filter, the directional filter, etc.), we are able to reject almost all of false alarms (less than one false alarm per year) and still maintain very high sensitivity and location accuracy. The ASI’s ALDS is the only leak detection system with a low enough false alarm rate that it can be and has been used successfully for automatic valve shut-off upon detecting leak without ANY human intervention.
