Does the Veypor work on boats or snowmobiles?
The Veypor’s accuracy relies on a speed sensor on some type of wheel. Without the rear wheel sensor the internal accelerometers will still give accurate 1/4 Mile and 0-60Mph times and you will still obtain accurate RPM readings. You will no longer have any Odometer, tripmeter or Speedometer functions. On snowmobiles another concern is the low refresh rates of the display in cold temperatures. The display update rate may be too slow for real time monitoring to be useful. The unit will still function up to -40 degrees and will log data. The data can be saved and then downloaded to a PC for analysis. The Veypor is not recommended for use with boats due to the large take-off angles they have. This may skew the data making it unreliable.
