Does the vax model 121 shampoo carpets?
The Vax 121 Model is a Wet and Dry Cleaner. It will suck up dry dirt when the dry filters are installed, and will suck up wet dirt and liquids when the dry filters are replaced by the float assembly. On carpets, it will suck up wet spillages – ideal for a quick cleanup before the carpet stains. It is NOT designed for carpet shampooing. A machine that IS capable of carpet shampooing will have a pump, an additional switch for this pump, an outlet connector for the tubing to the carpet shampoo nozzle, and a container inside for the detergent solution. It would also come equipped with a carpet cleaning wand and an upholstery cleaning tool, and also the detergent tubing for attachment to the length of the wand. Such a machine in the Vax range would be the Model 6131.
