Does the VA cover prescription eyeglasses and hearing aids?
VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York’s benefit plan complies with the National Uniform Benefits Package relative to the hearing aids and eyeglasses benefit. Eligibility for the hearing and eyeglasses benefit will be restricted to veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 10% or more or 0% service connected for hearing or visual disability. Otherwise, hearing aids and eyeglasses will only be provided in special circumstances and not for generally occurring hearing or vision loss.
