Does the user of a product have means of complaint redressal through PACS?
Yes. Providing redressal to genuine complaints of the user is one of the conditions of grant of PAC. The aggrieved user should normally first take up the complaint with the PAC holder. In the event of his not getting redressal he can send his complaint to BMTPC. The decision of BMTPC with regard to the genuineness of the complaint, its maintainability within PACS and the satisfactoriness of redressal rests with BMTPC. It should be understood that BMTPC has no statutory authority to force a holder of PAC to redress the complaint. It can use only its good offices and the binding through PAC. BMTPC follows a documented procedure for dealing with such complaints.
