Does the University of Waterloo participate in the consultant selection or building planning process?
No. Grebel will form its own committee to review the RFP’s and later a committee to supervise the building planning process. The University of Waterloo will review the final construction plans to ensure the proposed construction fits with the quality and standards of U of W. In general, the College has a good relationship with UW’s Plant Ops department and often we seek advice from the more experienced personnel “across the creek”. UW does not have any official involvement on the College’s internal committees save for one representative on the Board of Governors.
