Does the University of Idaho require that first-year students live on campus?
No. First-year students are not required to live on campus at the University of Idaho, although 90 percent of first year students choose to live on campus either in a residence hall or fraternity/ sorority. We recommend living on campus in a residence hall or fraternity/sorority your first year because you will be able to meet friends that you will have for the next four to five years of college. Students who live on campus in traditional living groups for their first two years are also statistically more likely to graduate, to graduate earlier, and tend to have better grades.
