Does the University have any plans to offer free/allocated parking to Battery Electric Vehicles with the ability to charge the vehicle at the parking point?
A. At this point our focus is on trying to reduce the number of vehicles on campus. However, if the technology changes quickly to such a point that we see an influx of these vehicles on site, we will review the situation and provide for them. As you may be aware, the University has a hybrid fleet of vehicles and continues to embrace the new technology associated with battery powered cars. We will endeavour to be at the forefront of any new developments in this area.
