Yes, but only a few gallons per day. There is a condensate line that needs to be routed to a drain. What are the ventilation requirements? The unit must be vented outside though a 3″ or 4″ vent stack. Is skilled/ professional help required? The manufacturer installs the test units. Does a special breaker need to be installed? The external load or breaker panel needs to comply with the latest version of the National Electrical code. “Line-of-sight” and “Lock-out” procedures will also have to be addressed. How much noise do these units make? Fuel cells do not make noise like engine generators. They sound somewhat like a refrigerator. Although you likely would not want one running in your family room, you probably would not hear it running in the garage when you were in the house.
