Does the UCLA College Library Card provide the holder access to Melvyl, as well as UC and UCLA Library databases?

0

Melvyl, the catalog listing all materials owned by all UC Libraries, and the UCLA Library Catalog, the catalog for all UCLA Libraries, are available remotely for free to anyone with an Internet connection. In addition, many databases are licensed for the UC campuses, for use only by regularly enrolled UCLA students, as well as UCLA staff and faculty. So, TAP students do not qualify to use these databases remotely under the terms of the license agreements. However, access to these databases is available through a visit to any UCLA library. Students should also consult the Library at their college, and public libraries near them, to see which of their databases they may access remotely, for free. Check High School and Community College Help for links to some of these valuable research tools.
