The U-PASS does not cover local Pierce Transit bus service, but does provide full fare on Sound Transit Express buses and the Sounder commuter train. Sound Transit route 586 starts in downtown Tacoma and runs directly to the UW campus. The Sounder takes you to downtown Seatttle, where you can connect with nearby express buses to the University District.
