The time between the need to blowdown is extended, and water savings could be 50% or more. With TWT deposit control the system can run at higher concentration ratios, meaning the amount of water removed as blowdown and the corresponding sewer charges are greatly reduced. Since little or no chemicals are added, the requirements for pre-treatment for discharge of blowdown are eliminated, and additional savings are generated.
