Does the Turtle beach X1 work with a HDMI cable?
There are 3 ways to connect the X1 (or X3 or X31) with HDMI: 1) Get the Xbox HD AV cable: http://www.eforcity.com/gmstxboxcab5.htm… This will allow you to connect the X1’s red/white RCA audio cable to the Xbox AND an HDMI cable at the same time. 2) If your TV has an audio output (red/white RCA jacks), then you can simply connect the X1 audio cable to those. In this case, you will only need the HDMI cable hooked up. The only problem here is that the audio will still come out of your TV speakers. You can obviously turn down your TV volume to a minimum setting (so as not to bother anyone else in the household)–and then jack up the volume on the X1 amplifier. 3) You can also remove the plastic cover on your standard XBOX AV cable so that it does not block the HDMI port. This allows you to connect both the Xbox AV cable and an HDMI cable at the same time. To see how to remove the plastic
