• Noise protection walls were approved under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and in the Ministerial Consent Conditions for the Cross City Tunnel. • The Heritage Council has already approved the sandstone-faced concrete wall for the Domain and the timber wall on the Royal Botanic Gardens side. The Heritage Council asked that the existing picket fence be retained. • The Board of Trustees and the Trust’s Botanic Gardens Committee (including external experts) support the wall designs, and in earlier meetings (prior to the stakeholder meetings) approved the sandstone option.
