No. The TLC was designed to automatically detect 525/30 and 625/25 sync rates. The sync separator hardware is not capable of detecting the new 24 frame sync automatically. Since the timing of the vertical rate is so close to 625/50, the TLC indicates PAL. So it becomes necessary to manually configure the TLC for 24 Frame sync when this reference is connected. This is done using the TLC Configuration Menu 2, item 63.
