Does the test work for thermotolerant bacteria?

0

Thermotolerant coliforms are defined as those of faecal origin that ferment lactose with gas production within 48 hours at 44-44.5oC. Our test includes these, most importantly E. coli, and also other coliforms that are not thermotolerant. However, we do not plan to release a specific test for TTC as most guidelines have now switched from TTC to E. coli levels.
