Does the term “reasonable period of time” have a specific legal definition?

0

The term reasonable in law is often used. Obviously this avoids setting a definite period of time, so whether it is reasonable will be one of the facts the court has to determine. If you want to gauge whether you/the other party have acted within the reasonable period of time you will need to research case law and find out what has been held as reasonable in other cases. I’m not a lawyer though, so please don’t rely on what I have said.
