Does the Sun ever eat stuff, and when it does, what happens regarding temperature?
Stuff does indeed sometimes fall into the Sun. This would mean that gravitational potential energy would be converted to thermal energy and the solar temperature would increase, but a really large (probably much more than planet-sized) object would be required for there to be a measurable effect on the solar temperature.
