The same safety procedures required for the storage and transportation of volatile chemicals are inherent in the design of the plant. These are the same safety procedures that apply to the storage and transportation of gasoline, anhydrous ammonia and ethanol already being stored or traveling by highway or by rail through the area. End products and their associated blending agents are stored in an exterior storage area, or tank farm. The lined, bermed area provides secondary containment for the carbon steel tanks with internal floating roofs.
