Does the STB Suite use the SECURICY ERASE command to purge SATA drives?
In most cases your computer will lock all ATA and SATA drives as the system boots up, preventing any destructive commands like SECURITY ERASE from being issued. There are methods to circumvent this lock or freeze condition in which case the command can then be issued and executed.
