Does the state benefit financially from research funded by the Stem Cell Research Grant program?
Recipient organizations will be required to share with the State of New Jersey a percentage of any income received from the intellectual property that might be developed with the State’s grant support. This requirement guarantees that the state will receive a direct financial benefit from any commercial licensing resulting from research supported by state grants, in addition to any indirect benefits from job creation and economic growth.
