Does the sprinkling system waste potable water?
No city water is used to irrigate Lake Ridge Club. The ponds, aside from aesthetics, serve several purposes. One purpose is to act as a reservoir for water which is used to supply the sprinkling system. Storm water is supplemented with water from an irrigation well if water levels drop. This system allows us to enjoy well-developed and lush green grass throughout the growing season without using any potable water or regard to watering bans and other restrictions which may be imposed by Burr Ridge. Generally the sprinklers will run on east of Lake Ridge Club Drive on Monday and Thursday, west of Lake Ridge Club Drive on Tuesday and Friday. There may be other times when the situation requires and no notice can be given.
