Does the SP-510 UZ support a Super Macro mode?
Yes. The SP-510 UZs Super Macro mode has an operating range of 1.18 infinity. This means that the camera must be at least 1.18 (30mm) from the subject in order for the image to be in focus. The zoom is fixed in Super Macro mode and cannot be changed. To use Super Macro mode, set the mode dial to any shooting mode except GUIDE, and then press the Left arrow on the arrow pad. Use the Up or Down arrow to select the Super Macro icon (flower preceded by the letter s), and then press the OK/FUNC button to activate the setting. The Super Macro icon will be displayed on the LCD to indicate that Super Macro mode is active. Super Macro mode is disabled in the following scenes: LANDSCAPE, LANDSCAPE + PORTRAIT, NIGHT SCENE, NIGHT + PORTRAIT, SELF-PORTRAIT, SUNSET, FIREWORKS, AUCTION, SHOOT & SELECT1, and SHOOT & SELECT2.
