No. The soapstone is always a blue-green grey colour. Untreated it is light grey. For countertops, it needs to be treated with pure clear mineral oil. DO NOT USE VEGETABLE OILS. When saturated, the permanent colour of the soapstone will be a dark blue-green grey.
