Does the SNOMED CT – ICD10 cross map cater for the dagger and asterisk concept?

0

The UK Clinical Coding rule requires that both dagger and asterisk components are always used. As cross-maps are created in accordance with UK National Standards mappings from SNOMED CT include both dagger and asterisk components wherever possible. In those instances where it has only been possible to cross-map to one component the map line is indicated as being mandatory to use an additional code. Suppliers’ applications will need to cater for this circumstance.
