Not always and ifyou get any lightening it is not permanent. You would be better advised to talk to your doctor as some of the 30 odd ingredients in Lightenex can irritate the skin and one, Ceteareth-20, can alter skin structure allowing chemicals to penetrate deeper into the skin which ncreases the amount of toxins that reach the bloodstream.
