Does the single room rate apply to council and Housing association properties?
Single room rate applies to properties subject to LHA/rent officer rates so not council or housing assoc. (as they are supposedly only allocated on the number of rooms you need) LHA changes will only apply from after the start date in 2012 – new claims, when theres a change in circs – when you move etc. or when your 12 month award expires.
