Does the show Wowowee exploit the poor people of the Philippines?
I’m from the United States (Filipino American) and I watch Wowowee. I think the show is pretty funny because many of the contestants are funny. However, many of these people are poor and living in poverty. Wowowee seems to get the craziest contestents on their show. However, I wonder if the show exploits the poor in a negative way. For example, Willy will ask a toothless person to smile in front of the camera and everyone laughs hysterically. Another example is when people get excited to be on some silly show and want to kiss the host.
