Does the Seventh-Day Adventist Church officially ordain female ministers?

No it doesn’t. It was brought to the General Conference of SDA a few years ago and was voted down on the basis that the SDA churches in the rest of the world weren’t ready to go for it. So, what happens in the North American Division of SDA’s is that women can be ordained on a church by church basis, but not by the Conference, Union, Division, or GC. I don’t have sources to list, but my information comes from my dad, a pastor in the SDA church, who is an advocate for female ordination. In response to the above post, the SDA church was founded by a group of people, both men and women. Also, their are women pastors in SDA churches in the NAD and I haven’t noticed any riots. Have you?
