Does the Sermon on the Mount replace Old Testament law?
Jesus said that he came to fulfil not to destroy. However, there are fundamental differences in emphases and Jesus obliges Christians to observe a much more strict regime than the ancient law. Christians are forgiven but they should still try to ‘keep the rules’. 13 How do we know which is right when two parts of the Bible conflict with each other? We cannot.
