Does the Sea Kitten represent any particular fish species, or all fish?
A. It’s just a general fish image. The toys are a blue fish in a black cat costume. We hope they bring a smile to the faces of children at ACS. Q. Why did PETA choose ACS for a delivery? A. We’ve given out the sea kittens before at different events. We chose ACS this time because fishing is so common in a city like Anchorage that most kids don’t likely think twice about it. The Sea Kittens encourage children to remember that fish should be treated kindly, just like cats and dogs and other animals. Q. Are the plush toys being distributed to other organizations in Alaska? A. Our donation of the sea kitten plushies to Alaska Children’s Services is the first of its kind, but we are considering donating to other children’s organizations. Q.
