Does the same hold true when the oil warning light comes on?
Definitely not! You need to move to the side of the road and turn the car off immediately. Driving even a short distance with no oil in the crankcase can lead to a huge repair bill. Donít even try to make it to a repair shop. Instead, get some oil into the engine first before trying to drive it anywhere. Even if you have to have the car towed, that is cheaper than replacing a damaged or ìblownî engine.
