Does the same committee decide who receives all four types of fellowships?
The same multidisciplinary selection committee evaluates applicants for all four fellowships. The committee is comprised of Stanford faculty members from the School of Humanities and Sciences who have been noted for their strong contributions to graduate education, as well as representatives from the H&S Dean’s Office and the Humanities Center. Membership on the selection committee varies from year to year, as do the departments from which selection committee members are drawn. The committee composition and rotation are designed to ensure a breadth of expertise, disciplinary training, and fields represented in the decision-making process. Return to Top of Page.
