Does The Salvation Army perform marriages, christenings and funerals?

The Salvation Army is a recognized denomination of the Christian Church. You can be a Salvationist in the same way as you can be a Catholic, a Baptist or a Lutheran. Salvation Army chapels are registered places of worship and Army officers are ministers of religion. Officers can, and do, conduct weddings and funerals both for Salvationists and indeed for anyone who would like to have such a ceremony performed by The Salvation Army. While The Salvation Army doesn’t ‘christen’ babies, it does have a service of dedication or thanksgiving for the child’s life instead.
