Does the RTO have to include the code and name of the qualification on a statement of attainment?
No. It is not always appropriate or necessary to include the code and title of a qualification on a statement of attainment when units achieved are selected from multiple qualifications, or from a qualification that bears little relationship to the job role. If the student has enrolled in a qualification and it is not completed then the statement of attainment must refer to the qualification that has been partially completed. If a student enrols in a unit or units (that is, not a full qualification), there is no need to state in partial completion of the (specific) qualification. However, it would be a requirement that the statement of attainment identify the Training Package(s) from which the unit(s) are selected as well as the national code and the name of the units the student has completed.
