Yes. The RS-1000 measures sound level inside the vehicle so we can maintain the appropriate volume level for the audio warning system. If the teenager turns up the radio volume or drives with the windows open, the system raises or lowers the warning tones so the driver will still be able to hear the audio warnings. The volume level (in dbs) is also reported in the graphical display of drive data. THE RS-1000 DOES NOT RECORD CONVERSATIONS.
