Does the RRS form replace the legal complaint form?
No. The complaint form used by NAACP Legal Redress Committees serves a different function than the citizen reports. There might be some overlap, but we ask everyone who contact their local branch, State Conference, or Legal Redress Committee with an incident or complaint to complete the NAACP citizen report. We also encourage local units who already collect data to replace their existing forms with this one so that we can ensure that all the relevant data about incidents are collected and analyzed in a uniform way.
