Does the Ronald McDonald House receive funds from the United Way?
No, other than a very few individual contributions made through the United Way. Doesn’t the Ronald McDonald House receive major funding from the McDonald’s Corporation, and the local owners? AND, I don’t care for fast food and McDonald’s Restaurants, so I won’t participate in this campaign. The generosity of the McDonald’s Corporation comes mainly through the contributions of the local McDonald’s Restaurant owner/operators, and adds up to about 15 percent of the operating budget. Remember, too, that the House exists for families in need. We hope that now one we know will ever be in a situation to use the Ronald McDonald House, but it’s nice to know it’s there and fully functioning for those families in need.
