As a means of providing professional guidance in a wide variety of areas relating to law enforcement, the Rock Island Police Department Speaker’s Bureau will provide a speaker free of charge to civic groups and other community organizations. Requests should be submitted in writing at least 3 weeks prior to the Chief of Police at 316 16th Street, Rock Island, IL 61201 so that provisions maybe made to accommodate the request. • Does the City of Rock Island have a curfew ordinance? Yes, curfew for residents 16 years of age and younger is enforced by the City. Minors may not be in any public assembly, building or street after curfew hours unless accompanied by an adult. An exception is made for minors employed during curfew hours.
