It’ll perform optimally when the grass is less than 4″ from the root with minimum thatch and moisture, which is true for all mowers, manual or robotic. We recommend that you cut your lawn to 4″ before first using your RL500. Then you can adjust the RL500’s wheels to 6 different height settings as needed.
