Does the right know that, even with its problems, Canadians still overwhelmingly prefer their healthcare?

Darling, it is up to the person to decide which type of government it prefers. It is impossible for the US to be like Canada, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Each country has a different role. The US is like a big brother, we protect our allies and help our enemies when in need. It would be impossible for us to protect if we were like Canada. Although Canada and France are nice places to visit, they could never single-handedly win a serious war or protect their neighboring countries. The US has numerous connections with different countries. It has more things to worry about than health-care and dinnerware. If you want to live in a lovely country with full health care coverage and fancy napkins move to Canada or France. If you want to make a difference in the world stick with the US, you’ll rough it a bit, but in the end you’ll feel satisfied knowing there is not another country in the world that has made a difference in ppl’s lives more than your country. … Oh I’m sorry dear

They really don’t care unless it’s some whack point that they can make for their party by using Canadians as an example. And since you didn’t give them a good point to use, well, then they don’t care lol.

We’ve already gotten used to the higher taxes and the way our health care system is. Changing it to a US-like system would screw over a lot of people who can’t afford private healthcare. Every system has its problems, including ours. I just feel that it everyone deserves to have healthcare… no matter how wealthy or poor a person is. Before we had Universal Healthcare we were on a system like the American one… we changed it because we didn’t like it… I highly doubt we will go back.
