Does the right Baseball Bat improve Hitting Performance?
This is an excellent question and provides a good introduction into the section on hitting. Does a baseball bat improve hitting? It is a question I get asked most often after a few practices, and one which would receive a variation of responses from coaches if you did a national survey. My first response to a parent would be NO that the right bat would not improve hitting performance as good hitters can hit with any type of bat and average to poor hitters would remain consistently bad; however, you can argue or justify the point that hitters whether good, average or bad would improve their hitting performance by just knowing or having the confidence in swinging a new and improved bat. It makes sense right? I do believe that the pschology of hitting, fielding and pitching improves with confidence thus lending to the support that the right choice of baseball equipment helps all players at all levels improve their game, but you have to dig a little deeper into the mechanics and fundmental
