Does the removal of nail extensions ruin the nail bed?
If you attend a reputable salon and the nails are removed correctly by the Nail Artist, there should be little, if no damage, to the natural nail. There are acrylic dissolving agents available and some salons still use acetone. As long as these chemicals are not on the skin there should be no problems and make sure you moisturise the skin regularly after the removal. If the Nail Artist has been careless with filing the natural nail bed on previous occasions, there may be ridges that will have to grow out with the nail. If someones nail is very soft to start with, it will take a week or so for the nail to get back to normal.
