Does the RediRad add FM to my AM radio?
Not by itself. Think of the RediRad as a bridge between your existing radio and today’s portable music players. With an AM-only radio, you will use an inexpensive portable ‘walkman’-type of FM radio (available separately) and a RediRad to receive FM broadcast signals. This approach saves you hundreds of dollars over converting your AM-only radio just to have this functionality.
